- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr David Howard is an excellent dentist. He is also kind. He and his friendly and efficient team gave me the best treatment anyone could experience, with outstanding results. I recommend Dr David Howard for all dental work, particularly complicated issues or for people nervous of dental procedures.Mandy SpinkMay 19, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I had a tooth removed, but I'm not sure this was necessary. The tooth had split off a little on one side but was still well rooted into the gum and causing no pain or discomfort. But an implant replacement costs $8-10,000, a lot of money for the dentist. I had a filling done which I said was too low. I was told I was imagining this. I said 'no I can tell the difference coz I clench my teeth'. He told me that I should have a plate to wear at night at a cost of $1800, and that to top up a filling is very complicated and expensive. He charged me a $140.00 consultancy fee to tell me this. I had been very happy with his work up until the last tooth. I was a client for nearly 5 years and had spent $4800 on dental work. When I complained about the above, stating that my bottom front teeth are rubbing against the back of my upper front teeth and this is causing pain and stress and I wouldn't be seeing him again all he could say was 'It's a shame it's come to this'. 18 months later my teeth have finally settled with much wear to my front teeth and I am now somewhat buck toothed. I can feel it, it is not so obvious visually and I don't pronounce some words as well as I used to. I would stress to anyone not to rush into having teeth removed- the teeth around it often then aren't held in place as well and start to move around. Also, this leaves a hole in your cheek which with further tooth removal allows your cheeks to collapse because the teeth aren't behind them (making you look like a toothless old man - unless you have $10k for an implant - if it works- your body can reject them - I was never told this). Also, non metal fillings don't last as long and wear more easily. Some of my filling with composite surfaces are now hollowed out and I will look at using metal compounds next time. Like a lot of things everything was fine until there was a problem and then I got no help (5 year client, $5k). How many times do these people ask what health fund are you in? It's a huge money spinner.Jay GMarch 18, 2017
